DO´S AND DON´TS IN EGYPT

ADDENDUM  CHANNEL DIRECT 4, UNIT 12:ON VACATION, LESSON 3

DESCRIPTION OF THE ACTIVITY:

Students will learn about the do´s and don´ts about Egypt, by looking a video that might help them when traveling to Egypt, after that, they will do a guessing activity in a handout, which they will check by listening to the information, finally they will discuss the cultural differences and similarities between Egypt and Mexico.

JUSTIFICATION:

For our students to be aware of intercultural information and be prepared to avoid misunderstandings and  enrich their knowledge.

After the grammar presentation and a reading about some vacation abroad, there is a listening activity on Channel Direct 4, Unit 12, Lesson 3. This activity starts in the book straight with two questions: What do you know about Egypt? and Would you like to spend a vacation there?.

In order for our students to have intercultural information about Egypt, we will add a "Do´s and Dont´s" activity .This will help students to be able to compare and contrast the intercultural differences between Mexico and Egypt.
